Extremely decadent brownies amazing by themselves or with a scoop of ice cream - who said vegan food had to be healthy?!

Ingredients

Yields
  • 250g plain white flour
  • 1tspbaking powder
  • pinch salt
  • 1banana, peeled and mashed
  • 230g golden caster sugar
  • 1tbspvanilla essence
  • 140g good quality dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa solids)
  • 4tbspvegan margarine (plus extra for greasing)
  • 1tbspagave nectar
  • 60g dark choc chips
  • 120g walnuts chopped

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius and grease 20cm baking tray then line

    Sift flour, baking powder and salt into large bowl

    In another bowl, combine mashed banana, sugar and vanilla essence

  4. 4

    Melt chocolate (not choc chips), marg and agave in bowl over boiling water until smooth then pour into banana mixture and combine

  5. 5

    Pour banana choc mixture into the flour and fold til all combined (don't over-stir)

    Fold in choc chips and walnuts

  7. 7

    Spoon mixture into the lined tin and bake in over for 25 minutes

  8. 8

    Allow to cool completely before cutting into pieces
