Ikea cream sauce

This is a vegan version of the cream sauce you get with the meatballs at ikea! Serve this over the veg balls you can buy from ikea or over anything that suits!

  • Yields: 4


1/2 cup cashews

1 1/2 cups water

1 tbsp plain flour

1 tsp vegan Worcester sauce

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp yeast extract

2 bay leaves

White pepper

Up to 3 tbsp soy sauce


1Add all ingredients (except bay leaves, pepper & Soy sauce) to a nutri-bullet or similar powerful blender

2Blitz until vey smooth

3Add to a pan with bay leaves and heat, whisking until thick

4This will take about 5-7 minutes

5Add the pepper and soy sauce to taste
